The Apocalypse, staged by M. Borczuch, was highly attractive to the audience during the last festival. This year’s festival will feature a performance called Call of Cthulhu, inspired by the short story by H.P. Lovecraft, the pioneer of global horror literature.

Michał Borczuch and Tomasz Śpiewak once again propose to expand the literary canon to the theatre, this time using the Lovecraft’s tales. It seems they say that we live in the times when it’s best to reveal the state of humans through the world of fantasy and horror. It is not without reason that they chose this author, who is often underestimated in the world of literature. Lovecraft’s bust on a high pedestal is placed on the stage, and his name is written in yellow spray paint. No legends, no marbles – the authors of this performance are interested in a living person. All the monsters are inside him.
