Graduated from S.Šimkus Upper-Secondary Music School, Departmant of Jazz of Klaipėda Faculties of Lithuanian State Conservatoire

Organiser of annual assembly of Lithuanian poets since 2000

1990–1994: worked in radio, television. In 1994 became the draftsman of daily newspaper “Klaipėda“ literature publication “Drops of Amber” (“Gintaro lašai“)

Member of blues rock band “Kontrabanda” (bass guitar and vocals), jazz rock band “Rokfeleriai”. Released six albums with these bands.
Published seven poetry and two essay books, a novel and collection of plays in Lithuania. Poetry books published in Germany, Sweden, Poland, Italy, and Island. Play “Reserve“ was published as a book in France. Poetry translated in English, German, Swedish, Dutch, Korean, Finnish, Polish, Latvian, Estonian, Russian and other languages, published in periodicals and anthologies of these countries.
Participates in international literature events: readings at Frankfurt, Leipzig, Warsaw, Goteborg and Turin book fairs, Edinburgh International Book Festival, Vilenica, Goteborg, Rotterdam, Copenhagen and Budapest poetry festivals, Reykjavik, Berlin literature festivals, literature events in Berlin, Munich, Dusseldorf (Germany), Stockholm, Malmö, Goteborg, Kristianstad (Sweden), Aarau, Basel, Lucerne (Switzerland), Venice, Vicenza (Italy), etc. Gintaras Grajauskas has received scholarships of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania (1998, 2000, 2002–2003, 2006–2007), Baltic Centre of Writers and Translators (Visby, Sweden, 1998, 2000), International Writing Program at The University of Iowa (USA, 2003), Het Beschrijf (Belgium, 2005), Literarisches Colloquium Berlin (Germany, 2010).
